HAPPY VALETINES DAY!
2/14/2021 Markets were higher for the week as most Indices were able to make Higher Highs. However, the Volume was Low and many individual Leaders have not been able to make New Highs this time up. Eventually when Investments are Way Above the Green Lines, they will Double Top (or Fail to make a Highs) which can tell us that Buying is drying up. Historically, the Speculative Emotion and Greed levels now are so high that we should see a pull-back soon (from this Buying Climax). Markets will eventually return to the Green Lines again.
Many are not concerned about taking profits in the Markets as long as the FED is continuing to Print aggressively. But there is a cost to massive Printing, as Treasury Bonds are already down 17 % from last year’s High. The Inflation Index (CRB) is up 82 % from last year’s Low, and the Interest Rate on T-Bonds has doubled from 0.85 % to 2.00 %. Watch what Interest Rates do when the Virus winds down and the World economy improves! This should eventually force the FED to stop the massive Printing (probably much sooner than expected).

For the week the Dow was up 1.12%, the S&P 500 was up 1.27%, and the Nasdaq 100 was up 1.54%. The Long Term Trend for the Indices is up.
The Inflation Index (CRB) was up 2.15% for the week and is Above the Green Line, indicating Economic Expansion.
Bonds were down 0.62% for the week, and are Below the Green Line, indicating Economic Expansion.
The US DOLLAR was down 0.57% for the week.
Crude Oil was up 4.61% for the week at $59.47 and GOLD was up 0.56% at $1823.20.
