12/31/2023 Markets were slightly higher again for the week, as the Stronger Indices are now back up to the Highs of Jan 2022. This was a nice year for Stocks if you bought in Jan 2023, but many “Buy & Hold” investors are still under water from Buying at the Highs of two years ago.
Interest Rates are much higher now, and it is estimated that $6 TRILLION is now in Money Funds at 5%. Stocks now have competition this time up, and this explains why the weaker Indices NYSE, Small Caps, and Transports are not as strong as before.
The Herd is “ALL IN” now, as the FED has promised to lower short term Rates next year. Retail Investors have been panic Buying Stocks for 8 weeks now on LOGICAL thinking. But Logical thinking or Predicting can get you in trouble (usually it is already discounted.
There have not been many Swing Trade setups lately as most of the strong Stocks have not corrected much, yet. We are raising CASH to Buy Stocks lower on the next Fear Flush.
If you continue to Follow the Green Line System, your Money should flow into the Strongest areas and your account value should be able to grow in both Bull and Bear Markets. Follow the MONEY, not the MEDIA.

ETF SECTOR ROTATION SYSTEM The 4th Quarter ended Friday, and we Sold all 5 ETF Positions on the Close. The 5 new ETFs to Buy on Tuesday Jan. 2nd will be SPY – S&P 500 Fund, QQQ – NASDAQ 100 Fund, IWM – Small Cap Fund, EFA – MSCI Foreign Fund, and XRT – Retail Fund. Or you can replace GDX, SLV, & XLE with IWM, EFA, & XRT on Tuesday and have 20% in each Fund for the monthly rotation.

For the week the Dow was up 0.82%, the S&P 500 was up 0.35% and the NASDAQ 100 was up 0.33%. Many of the major Indices still have a Relative Strength below 80, so you should currently own the stronger Funds here.
The Inflation Index (CRB) was down 1.04% for the week and is Below the Green Line, indicating Economic Contraction.
Bonds were up 0.41% for the week, and are Above the Green Line, indicating Economic Contraction.
The US DOLLAR was down 0.30% for the week and is Below the Green Line.
Crude Oil was down 2.60% for the week at $71.65 and GOLD was up 0.13% at $2071.80.
