Green Line Weekly! Feb 4, 2024

2/4/2024  Markets were higher again for the week as the Big 7 squirted higher on better than expected Earnings from Amazon,com  (AMZN) & Meta Platforms (META)   

The Semiconductor Fund (SMH) and Greed Index (SVXY) were not able to make higher highs this week, and could begin correcting soon. The weaker Small Caps (IWM), ARKK Fund & Transports are clearly inferior. 

We Buy the Leaders on pull-backs. Greed is high now, so be cautious. There are only 3 Securities  on the Watch List. Investments will meet again with their Green Lines. Remember, we like to Buy on Bad News like in late October, and take profits on Good News (Great Earnings now). 

If you continue to Follow the Green Line System, your Money should flow into the Strongest areas and your account value should be able to grow in both Bull and Bear Markets. Follow the MONEY, not the MEDIA.

For the week the Dow was up 1.40%, the S&P 500 was up 1.41% and the NASDAQ 100 was up 1.23%. Many of the major Indices still have a Relative Strength below 80, so you should currently own the stronger Funds here. 

The Inflation Index (CRB) was down 2.13% for the week and is Below the Green Line, indicating Economic Contraction.

Bonds were down 2.77% for the week, and are Below the Green Line, indicating Economic Expansion.

The US DOLLAR was up 0.53% for the week and is Above the Green Line. 

Crude Oil was down 7.35% for the week at $72.28 and GOLD was up 1.80% at $2053.70.
