May 7, 2026 Today, Markets opened on a bullish note, but later on some mild profit taking came in. The Mag 7 fund continued to print fresh highs, although the move came on relatively low volume, signaling a potentially overstretched rally.
USO oil pulled back sharply into the daily green zone, creating a possible swing-buy setup ahead, while $SMH semiconductors remained one of the market’s strongest leading sector despite extended conditions. The session ultimately closed with mild pullbacks across the market after another upside push.
