The Markets are down slightly today, except for the Tech Stocks, as the S&P 500 is still struggling around the December High of 2277… So far it is not a Good Break-Out on the S&P 500.
FAILURE here could cause SELLING. Very few New Highs this time up, makes for Caution! Money Wave Buys are not Bouncing well… TIRED, NARROW MARKET.
The Strongest Leaders are already in the Red Zones (probably too late to Buy for the Short Term).
The Reward / Risk ratio of investing now is poor, so please do not Buy then unless you are VERY NIMBLE, as the Leaders are still Way Above the Green Lines.
We are waiting for the S&P 500 to correct back down near the Red Line (50-day avg.) to set up for a good bounce.

Many like to buy the day before, if the Investment has not popped up too much.
Money Wave Buys are usually good for a 3-6 % move in a few days.
About 1/3 of the time, the Money Wave Buys will result small losses, so please use a Sell Stop Loss after all Buy orders.
Thank you for your website, it is an excellent investing tool.
Question, what do you mean when you state near the bottom of
the daily commentary page, ” some like to buy the day before..” ??
Thanks.
Thank you Dutchy!
We get a Short Term Buy Signal, when the Money Wave Closes into the Green Zone (below 20), and then Closes > 20.
Many times, if you wait for day the Money Wave to Close > 20, you can be too late before the pop happens. Therefore we send out a Buy Signal 10-15 min BEFORE the Close, if it looks like the Money Wave will Cross 20.
That way, you might get a little jump on the others.
Just wondering why you sold CLF? A quick 11% is nice but the weekly chart still looks good. What rule are you using to take profit?
Thank you!
Yes, CLF Chart looks great Long Term.
On the Short Term, we bought very high, and we lowered the Stop to stay in, and for several days we were within pennies of a loss… The SCTR Rank dropped below 90, and with an 11% up move in 1 day, the Reward / Risk seemed less than the 2:1 we like.
Following the Rules, you would still be in with a Sell if it Closes below the Buy Price, or $8.97.
Sure will, thanks again.
Do you mean sell if it closes below $8.37, the swing low? Thank you.
Please read the Rules for Short Term Trading… When the Money Wave > 50 (like it is now), EXIT if it is going to Close Below your Purchase Price.
