Sep 2, 2026 Today the Markets opened with slightly positive momentum as SPY pushed higher, but the move lacked strong conviction and follow-through. Small Caps through IWM followed SPY and edged higher, while Gold Miners GDX remained mostly stagnant, suggesting the 60-minute M-pattern correction may be nearing completion. The major Indices are still waiting for a decisive breakout or breakdown.
A fresh leg higher could develop if strength returns, while a failure to break higher may extend the current consolidation. The day ended with no new swing buys taken, keeping us patient as the market approaches a key decision point.
