Aug 7, 2026 Today the Markets opened with a modest bounce as large caps like SPY and QQQ recovered slightly, potentially setting up for an M-pattern retest, while small caps through IWM followed a similar path. Gold continued to outperform with another gap higher and a strong advance throughout the session, highlighting continued strength in precious metals.
We closed our TPOW position in $MRVL this week for a small loss, as the broader market remains in a cautious phase with a potential M pattern developing across the major indices which could indicate a pullback soon in markets. The week nevertheless ended on a stronger note, and we also sold our Weekly Swing position in $AAOI via Trade Alert at $140 for a 27% gain. The day finished with no new swing buys taken.
